In recent news...

For awhile now I have been eagerly...and nervously... awaiting my results to whether or not I would get into the University I had chosen. Finally, on Monday, the acceptance letter came and it seems my dreams had been heard I received an acceptance letter to a University close to the city, and I can begin my Bachelor of Education! I called my best friend Jodie and it turns out she got into the same university too... so congratulations to Jodie aswell!

Wanting more exposure? Adcast and deviantART have teamed together so you can promote your own profile. However this deal will only last until the 28th of February, so get on it!

Have you ever wanted to customize your profile page to your liking? !Commander-Luminaire has provided some Custom boxes codes for you to do so. I have found these codes extremely useful and easy to use.

Have you read the recent Changes to the Terms of Service on deviantART? If not, read it, and feel more knowledgeable.

Also, have a read of deviantART's copyright policy. There is a very important part of this policy (What is copyright infringement?) ; "Modifying or editing a creative work without proper permission."

Lately I have noticed some rather "popular" artists have been using sxc.hu`s stock, editing them, and then submitting it into the category of "Photography". It`s really sad that they can do such a horrid thing, and no one seems to be doing anything about it. I`ve had to report twice and each time my report has been ignored. Please help stock artists and their fantastic work by at least crediting them properly and putting into Photomanipulation/Digital art. They are artists too and are giving you an opportunity to use their lovely work.

Stolen Artwork?

_{The biggest culprits seem to be Photobucket, where people think they are free to upload whatever they want on Photobucket.

SEARCH YOUR DEVIANTART USERNAME IN THE SEARCHBOX.

I have searched my artwork and I found them already. All I did was search "love4art" and it came up with MY work on their sites, and even a gift someone gave me.

Search GOOGLE. This is a very obvious one, but the most useful to find your works. If I am looking for a particular deviation, I will type "deviation name love4art", and click on Images.

One of the most brilliant devices ever invented is TINYEYE.COM. It performs a search on your IMAGE, not the writing (eg, picture.jpg). It is now free to use for anyone!

Visit WHOIS.NET. Search the website that stole your artwork, and it will provide information to the owner, and contact information (phone number, email address etc).}

Also, I have found many of my works on Blogs, tumblr`s, etc. Personally I do not mind my work on these Blogs because they are not claiming my artwork to be theirs, merely promoting it. If I am credited and somewhere the name "love4art" is written, then I`m happy. If it suggests in any way that they`re claiming it to be theirs, edited it in any way, selling it, etc, I will try to contact them and make reason. It`s very important that artists are on the ball about their artwork, you never know who may be stealing!
