I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. At first I was planning on only writing from Spike's point of view, like, what he's experiencing during this separation period. I figured that since he's the main cha

_{Hey guys, I'm using the plain journal from the cool beta tester layouts for now, just to see it on my page.

I just wanted to say that I got my results back and I am quite pleased with how I did, especially english which is very important for what I want to get into. I got all A's, and i'm just glad it's over with. Now I await to see what I get into on the 20th of Jan.
I'm so relieved, I actually cried on that day for sheer stress relief. I just wanted to be held by Charlie, and he did.
Also- please don't mention anything to do with my results, not even a "congrats" lol. I don't want anyone congratulating me until I get into the course, I hope you understand.
It's a stress thing I guess lol.

I've been doing fairly well for the most part. On Monday night I had an asthma attack after I went running, so that really put me out of place but today I feel better and I'm still working. I'm trying to get really fit for Summer, and going to Warnambool with Charlie for Christmas. My plan is to do a little bit of running each day, without dying of asthma.

Anywho - onto other news - I recieved the beautiful panda christmas card from Katie and Keith- thank you SO much. It really made me smile.

I feel like being in a giving mood. If someone can tell me the BEST christmas they've ever had and WHY (and I don't mean because you got your xbox 360), then I will give you my latest journal css. Special Feature for =David-A-Wagner

David is a wonderful deviant, he truly is. He is constantly friendly to everyone he meets, always puts in effort to be positive and polite. In general, he is a kind and welcoming person, someone that everyone wants to be friends with.
Unfortunately, negative things happen to good people. He has had some financial struggles and the people on DA have come together to raise money so he may keep his internet connection running, no one wants to see him go.
I wish I could do more to help money wise, but I'm no more richer than the next person. So in recognition of David, I will be featuring him in this journal for a month.
