Edit: Recently I have noticed on deviantART how badly artists are being affected by art theft. It really saddens me to see that some people are so unoriginal to do something like that! ~
kittysyellowjacket in particular (and her sister) have been victims of awful art theft, even selling her work as prints to reap money from it. From stealing art, to copying art or written work is still art theft. No idea is copyrighted, so therefore everyone can take photographs of birds, pocket watches, teacups etc. I myself have been accused of copying an idea, which seemed absolutely ridiculous to me at the time as I had never seen their work before. People forget that objects, nature etc, are accessible to EVERYONE, and we all enjoy photographs of a similar taste.
This brings me to my next point... Art theft doesn't just relate to photographs, digital art pieces, traditional drawings- it relates to written pieces too (poetry, prose, etc). That means highlighting text, coping and pasting. Para phrasing is still copying to me (this means that you alter words and try to make it your own). I recently noticed that someone had copied my "About Me" section on my page, tried to make it their own by altering few words. Every written piece I write, even an "Info" section, has been written with my heart and soul. As "flattering" as it is, it is still in a way, theft! Being original, creative and authentic is not hard at all. You only need to be yourself. Not anyone else.
Writers really do put a little piece of their soul into their writing and offer it to the world to see. It can either be appreciated, or taken for granted. Lets give writers/artists the respect they so rightly deserve! I feel so lucky being able to view their work on deviantART, it breaks my heart to see anything unappreciated!

Hi everyone, how are you all?? I hope everyone is in good spirits, happy and healthy!
I have been neglecting my little blog lately, so I thought I would finally upload lots of photos from my recent camping trip at the Murray River. My family stayed with friends, just past Strathmerton, alongside the Murray river... and all the beautiful wildlife too. I was so excited to capture everything around me! As soon as we arrived, I noticed koalas around our campsite, they were very friendly! Later at sunset, we would go for car trips around the dirt tracks in the bushland and find lots of kangaroos.. During the day I would disappear for hours in the bushland, just me and my camera (and of course sometimes my little bro!), just to get even the glimpse of something wonderful. 4 days later, I was very attached to the nature and land, and didn't want to leave! (Alright I lied, I missed my shower hehe). I am most happy when I'm surrounded by the peaceful and blissful nature, no cares in the world...
Tell me, what makes you most happy? Is it people, a place, music? I would love to know! And whilst you're pondering... have a looksee at my latest blog entries... I would love you forever
[link] < SoftlyWhispersLast but not least, a HUGE thank you to everyone for the on going support here on deviantART! I was so shocked to see I received another Daily Deviation a few weeks ago! Such a lovely surprise! I am always critical of my own work, but everyone is so encouraging and positive here, it really makes me want to take as many photos as I can every day.. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Hope you all are enjoying the beginning of 2012!!
Lots of love,
Sarah xx
I use my journals merely to express the events that occur in my life, I understand people will see past the events itself and only see negativity, but that's not intended by me.. and it's not me at all. I read many many journals each day, knowing people is not judging them, it's understanding that we all suffer from time to time... the suffering I have had in my life allows me to become more compassionate for others.. I could never pull apart their words, they would probably never write journals again
"Used to admire your work but now it all resonates this same aura that is in your journals." I found this comment to be very sad... not on my part though. I'm sorry you feel that way! Have a lovely day
